Why Plants Are Important in Parks

Plants are valuable in our lives, and proper care should be taken of them. They play a vital role in our lives. Without plants, there is no life. There are many campaigns all over the world against cutting down trees. These campaigns also encourage people and organizations to plants trees. In parks, plants make parks green and beautiful, provide fresh air and shade. Plants also make lovely lawns for people to rest. Below are details of the importance of plants in parks.

Beautification of the Park

Can you imagine going to a park and all that you can see is dusty tracks and benches? This would be a bad experience, especially on a sunny and hot afternoon. Plants make parks beautiful and provide a serene environment for people to relax. The make parks good places for people to enjoy with their loved ones. They also offer a natural environment which most people, especially in cities and big towns, miss. The green and natural environment attract people to the parks and make them enjoy their visit.

Provision of Fresh Air

In many big cities and towns, there is a lot of air pollution as a result of the centralization of many vehicles and industries. Because of this, many people do not even know what having fresh air feels. Parks allow urban dwellers to breathe fresh air from the plants in the parks. Without plants, there would be no difference between city life and the parks in or near the cities.

Provision of Shades

During summer, sometimes it gets so sunny and hot that even people run away from houses that do not have good air conditioners. During such times, parks are the best places to go and hide from the sun. In this case, plants that are taken care of properly provide good shade where people can sit and have fresh air from the trees around them. Therefore, plants in parks serve as a good natural protector from sun rays.

Provision of Lawns

In the afternoons, especially on weekends, many people head to parks with their families to relax after a long week of hard work. This also allows their children to play in open fields, take a walk, and meet other children. Grass in parks provides good lawns for people to sit, relax, play games, or even sleep. Without grass in the parks, people would have to limit their time in the parks because they would have fewer options for things that they could do.
